Cheese Dreams

cheese 015

Cheese might make you dream they say,
As strange as that may seem,
Some say it gives them nightmares worse,
Than any else they’ve seen.

I had a cheese dream late last night,
Of remote controlled hats,
That flew up to the chimney tops,
Of several nearby flats.

I cheese dreamt once that I was stuck,
Inside a cup of tea,
Which really isn’t all that bad,
A place to have to be.

Cheese dreams can be very vivid,
Intense and seem real,
And aid in our remembrance,
Of details and the feel.

So have some cheese before bed time,
And if you’re lucky you will find,
You’ll dream up a storm of dreams,
Like nothing else you’ve ever seen.

The Mists That Fade To Dreams

How long the night should waste away,

How dark and void of sleep,

So haunted by the darkness,

By the dreams that thee should reap.

So aching are the hours,

So disturbing shadows sight,

Tortured by the whispering winds,

That whistle through the night.

Alone and lost in empty halls,

An echoing silence screams,

Broken by the hollow mist,

That fades into the dream.

Trapped between the waking,

And the feared unwaking state,

Lost between two worlds,

For fearing it should be too late.

Falling through the darkness,

Through the well that is your mind,

Never knowing what it is,

Inside that you will find.

We drift beyond the realms,

Of all stable reality,

A slave to both most hallowed fears,

And deepest fantasies.
